Israel surprises everyone
For some students participating in the Y2i approved programs, it is not their first journey to Israel. Regardless, Israel surprises each one of them. The experiences they have are both very personal and shared.
During their time in Israel, we interviewed some the participants to find out; what they had learned, their impressions of Israel, the program, highlights and about the people they have met on the trip. Over the coming weeks, we will release short videos with their responses to some simple questions. Their insights are unprompted.
In 2016, 276 students participated in one of four programs; BJE Emet Israel Program, Emanuel School Chavayah Program, Masada IST Program and the Moriah IST Program. Y2i is hoping to increase that number every year. The number of schools who contributed students to the BJE program (for non-Jewish Day School students) shows the spread and momentum of theses programs are gathering pace. Students and families of past participants at all schools have all become such great advocates of what is a life-changing experience and one which will have a lasting impact on Jewish continuity.
Help spread the word
Students and families of past participants at all schools have all become such great advocates of what is a life-changing experience and one which will have a lasting impact on Jewish continuity. Particularly for students who don’t attend Emanuel, Masada or Moriah – spread the word.
Whether it is here, on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, or Instagram, please share these insights with anyone you know (or their parents) who might be eligible to go this year or in the year’s to come. It is never too early to register. There is no obligation; it is so that we can share the details about the programs on offer and how to access the $5,000 voucher.
