Entries are now open for the 2022/23 Photography Project competition
The Photography project is a competition organised by Y2i in conjunction with UIA, enabling students to submit their own photos from their Year 10 Israel Programs. Students can win up to $1000 towards post-high school travel to Israel and Apple airpods.
Students can pick up to 5 photographs to submit via the online portal on this webpage. These photographs need to be accompanied by a caption describing the moment.
We will then collate the submissions and create a shortlist of photos, Y2i Facebook and Instagram followers will have the opportunity to vote. Those shortlisted will have their work exhibited at our Donor function in March where we will announce the winners!
In order to participate in the Photography project, students need to have participated in a Y2i approved Israel program in 2022.
The idea is that the photos capture the experiences you are having in Israel particularly capturing people. Along with the photo, submission students need to identify the image and write up to 100 words about the moment being captured.
It can be significant for the photographer, the people they are capturing or for the group in general.
Judges’ Prize: Will be determined by our panel of judges and the winner will receive $1000 towards post-high school Israel travel and Apple airpods.
People’s Choice Prize: Will be determined by Y2i’s online voters through social media and the winner will receive a $500 voucher towards post-high school Israel travel and a portable speaker.

We are looking for images displaying people experiencing Israel in many different situations. These can include food, culture, religion, landscape and many more aspects of what Israel has to offer. Please tag Y2i on any photos that you post whilst on your trip.
