Dr. Ron Weiser is a member of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency, a Past President of the Zionist Federation of Australia and Honorary Life President of the Zionist Council of NSW. In his role as President of the Zionist Federation of Australia Ron is also recognised for initiating and implementing the Birthright / Taglit and MASA Israel programs in Australia. He served on the original Touch Points Committee that operated under JCA planning to formulate the strategic planning that led to the formation of Y2i.

Having read many studies evidencing that time spent in Israel on peer educational programs has a marked effect on a Jewish student’s life, he is a firm advocate for the Y2i program.
